1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CheckYourIMEI.ng ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this Service.

2. Description of Service

CheckYourIMEI.ng provides users with access to an online database to check the reported status of mobile device IMEI numbers. The Service allows users to:

  • Check if an IMEI has been reported as stolen on our platform.
  • Register accounts to manage their device checks.
  • Report devices they own as stolen or lost.

3. User Conduct

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Upload false or misleading information regarding stolen devices.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person or group.
  • Perform automated queries (scraping) without our express written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service.

4. Accuracy of Reports and User Submissions

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit. False reporting of stolen devices is a serious offense. We reserve the right to ban users and cooperate with law enforcement if we detect malicious false reporting intended to block legitimate devices.

5. Non-Affiliation Disclaimer

CheckYourIMEI.ng is an independent, community-driven database. We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the GSMA, Apple, Samsung, or any telecommunications network provider (e.g., MTN, Airtel, Glo).

6. Disclaimer of Warranties (AS IS)

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for accuracy, CheckYourIMEI.ng makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability of the database. A "clean" result on our platform does not guarantee that a device is not stolen; it only indicates it has not been reported to our specific database.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CheckYourIMEI.ng, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (iii) relying on information obtained from the Service to make financial or purchasing decisions.

8. Third-Party Links and Advertising

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services (including Google AdSense advertisements) that are not owned or controlled by CheckYourIMEI.ng. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

9. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
